Elections to be held for 91°µÍø Board of Directors Member At Large Positions, Governance Committee Positions

Elections will be held in August for six Member-at-Large positions on the 91°µÍø Board of Directors. These positions will be voted upon by the Board of Directors in their August 2022 meeting. A two-year commitment is required as the terms for these positions begin at the conclusion of the Board meeting and proceed for two years, through the 2024 Board of Directors meeting. Board members are responsible for helping set policies and direction for 91°µÍø. The Board meets in person once per year, usually in August. In addition, Board members may be asked to serve on 91°µÍø standing or ad hoc committees from time to time.
Elections will also be held in August for elected positions on the Governance Committee. A two-year commitment is required as terms for these positions begin at the conclusion of the Board meeting and proceed for two years, until the conclusion of the 2024 Board of Directors meeting. Most Governance Committee work is done by email and telephone or video conference call.
Any current member of 91°µÍø who has completed and/or updated SafeSport training and passed the mandatory background screening as required for Wrestling Leader membership is eligible to serve on the Board as a Member-at-Large, or to serve as a member of the Governance Committee, subject to any term limitations specified in the 91°µÍø By-Laws. Any current member may also nominate another current 91°µÍø member for these positions. Prospective candidates may nominate themselves or be nominated by another member. A nomination form is printed on this page. Candidates will be contacted by the Governance Committee to determine if they wish to serve (if nominated by someone else) or to confirm receipt of the nomination if they nominate themselves.
To become a candidate for any of these unrestricted positions:
1. Completely fill out the nomination form below. You must be a current 2021-2022 91°µÍø member and must provide your 91°µÍø ID number in the space provided. The nominee must also have completed SafeSport training and passed the mandatory background screening as required for Wrestling Leader membership. If you are not a member, please go to the 91°µÍø Membership System at to complete this process. SafeSport training and background check information is accessed through 91°µÍø’s Membership System.
2. Send the nomination form (and any material reinforcing your candidate's qualifications) to the address or email address below for receipt no later than Friday, July 15, 2022. Once current membership, completed SafeSport training and approved background check are verified, the candidate will be contacted in confirmation of receipt of the nomination and to verify willingness to serve.
3. All verified nominations will be presented to the 91°µÍø Board of Directors at their August meeting. The election will be held at that time with the vote conducted by the 91°µÍø Board of Directors and the Governance Committee of the Board.
4. Any individual holding a membership card for the membership year September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022 may nominate themselves or others with a current membership.
