It has been a great year for 91���� in terms of growth of its membership, which is the lifeblood of the organization.


At around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 91����’s total membership went past the previous record for a membership year, 252,509, which was set in 2018-19 season. There are still five-plus months in the 91���� membership season, which ends on August 31, 2023. Total membership includes athlete members, as well as Wrestling Leader (coaches and/or officials) members.


The membership record eclipsed is not just the total number of athletes, as 91���� has exceeded other membership records, including (at the time of publication):


• All-time record number of total members – 253,508

• All-time record number of athlete members – 215,414

• All-time record number of Wrestling Leader members – 38,094

• All-time record number of female athlete members – 28,966


This success only occurs due to the hard work and commitment of 91����’s volunteers, including its state association leaders, who conduct the programs and activities on the regional, state and local levels on a daily basis.


Of note, through 2/28/2023, 50 out of 51 state associations were ahead of 2021-22 membership totals year to date.
