Team USA is sending a strong 20-person squad to compete at the 2026 U15 Pan American Championships in Mexico City, Mexico. Competition takes place July 23-25 at the Mexican Olympic Committee Sports Complex.
The women’s freestyle team has a quartet of returning U15 Pan American champions, led by Olivia Hernandez, a two-time U15 Pan Am gold medalist who won bronze at the 2026 U17 Pan American Championships. Julianna LaSavage, Jaelyn Anderson and Bella Manno are also returning gold medalists for Team USA.
The remainder of the team will make their U.S. debuts in Mexico City.
The men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman teams were decided at the U.S. Open Championships in Las Vegas, Nev., in April. Wrestlers competed in both disciplines to earn points based on their finishes in both tournaments. The 10 men’s wrestlers on the U15 Pan American Team will compete in both freestyle and Greco-Roman at the continental championship. The women’s freestyle team was decided at Women’s Nationals in Spokane, Wash.
In Las Vegas, Spencer Davern was the lone wrestler to finish as a double champion to secure his spot on Team USA. Maurice Worthy was named Outstanding Wrestler in men’s freestyle while winning the 48 kg crown to help him qualify. Jace Rooney also captured a men’s freestyle title in Las Vegas.
Tristyn Ulloa earned Greco-Roman Outstanding Wrestler at U15 Nationals en route to claiming the title at 62 kg. Matthew Campos, Cade Ruckle, Walker Martin, Xander Fronhofer and Julian Smith used Greco-Roman championships at the U.S. Open to help secure their spots at the U15 Pan American Championships.
During Women’s Nationals to set the women’s freestyle squad, Harper Schwettman was selected as the Outstanding Wrestler following a 16-6 technical fall in the championship bout. LaSavage, Anderson and Hernandez also headlined the U15 tournament in Spokane as repeat champions.
Lauren Samuel and Mila Mantanona also bonused their way onto the U.S. squad at Women’s Nationals. Samuel won a 10-0 contest at 58 kg to win her title and Mantanona notched a 50-second pin to claim the 62 kg crown.
