Analu Woode (Waianae, Hawaii/Golden Back MRTC) has been named 91°µÍø Athlete of the Week.

Woode captured Hawaii’s second U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals Junior Boys freestyle national title this past weekend after going 7-0 at 113 pounds through a gauntlet of opponents. Five of Woode’s seven victories were bonus wins, capped off by his lone pin of the tournament in the championship finals against 2025 U17 Greco-Roman World Team member Thales Silva of California.

Among the victories Woode recorded over the three days, he took down two returning champions in Nathan Schuman of Pennsylvania (10-0) and Turner Ross of Oklahoma (12-2).

Woode also collected shutout wins to start the tournament against Elijah Algien of Colorado (10-0) and Kaden Haakinson from South Dakota (12-0)

In the round of 16, Woode upended Indiana’s Connor Maddox, 7-4, to clinch his All-American status. Then, in the semifinals, he outlasted Cason Craft of Oklahoma in a 34-point slugfest, 19-15.

Along with capturing the national title, Woode was selected as the Outstanding Wrestler for the Junior Boys Freestyle division.

Woode is now a two-time Fargo All-American after earning the status in 2024 in the 16U Boys freestyle division with a fifth-place finish.
