At 9-8 in favor of Savich, Pallone took over with his second four-point throw of the match, followed by two turns off a high gutwrench to grab a 16-9 lead at the break. Pallone locked in the technical fall with a takedown off a duck under 20 seconds into the second period to secure an 18-9 victory.

A flurry of scoring in the early portion of the match saw Iusupov go up 4-0 with a go-behind, followed by a gutwrench. Pandey countered another turn attempt and scored a point on a reversal. The score remained 4-1 at the break. Pandey continued to chip away at the deficit with his first takedown of the match in the first 30 seconds of the second period. After making it a one-point bout, Iusupov got back on the offensive, scoring five straight points to win 9-3.

Brown hit with passivity at 3:01 to give Kovacs a 1-0 lead. Kovacs lifted Brown from par terre and sent him to his back for four to take a 5-0 lead with 26 seconds left in the first period. Trailing 5-0 in the second period, Brown scored a passivity point with 1:02 left in the bout. Brown was unable to take advantage of the top position, and the match went back neutral with 44 seconds left. Brown looked for scoring opportunities late but was unable to convert, suffering a 5-1 defeat.

Pandey controls the ties early and works a takedown to grab a 2-0 lead at 3:37. The 2-0 advantage held heading into the second period. A passivity point for Pandey makes it 3-0 with 1:14 left in the bout. Pandey extended his lead to four with a step out point in the final minute. Pandey put the match away late with a takedown on the edge of the mat, and on the final restart, he scored a four-point throw, turning it into a fall with six seconds left in the match.

Rezaei grabs the early 1-0 lead with a passivity point at 3:11. Strong par terre defense from Ivanov brings us back to neutral. The 1-0 lead for Rezaei held going into the break. With 1:06 left, Rezaei grabs another point from passivity. Rezaei put the match away after he got his second chance on top with six straight points. Ivanov tried to counter and score from par terre, but Rezaei tallied four and then turned Ivanov for two more to close out the match, 8-0.

Brown tallies a passivity point to grab a 1-0 lead at 3:10. Straight from his par terre offense, Brown was able to score one turn. However, after Brown tried to secure a fall, Ahmed scored two off exposure to make a 3-2 contest at the break. Ahmed tied the match with a passivity point with 1:24 left in the match. Ahmed tallied two points with a turn off a high gutwrench. Brown pulled within one with 11 seconds to go on a step out. As time expired, Brown took a 6-5 lead with a two-point belly-to-belly throw after working. A lost challenge from Egypt made the final score 7-5 in favor of Brown.

Kikiniou tallied the first point of the match with a passivity point at 2:49. With Kikiniou on top, Dagar countered with two and took a 4-1 lead after Kikiniou committed a defensive foul, which resulted in a caution and two. A lost U.S. challenge on the sequence pushed Dagar’s lead to 5-1 at the break. Dagar extended his lead to 6-1 with a passivity point in the second period. Kikiniou was unable to rally and dropped a 6-1 decision.
