Prykhodko strikes first with a takedown at 3:28 to take a 2-0 lead. Prykhodko then scored four on a belly-to-belly throw from the over-under position to make it a 6-0 lead. A caution and two for fleeing, which would have ended the match, was wiped off the board after a successful U.S. challenge. Pallone got on the board with a step out, and it stayed 6-1 at the break. Pallone continued to work his back into the match, powering Prykhodko to the mat from a bodylock to make it 6-5. Back-to-back four-point moves from Prykhodko closed out the match, 14-5. Pallone finishes with silver.

Kholmirzaev scores a takedown on snapdown and go-behind to grab a 2-0 lead in the first minute. Ivanov scores four with a hip toss, but Kholmirzaev comes right back with a reversal to make it 4-3 in favor of Ivanov at the break. Right from the start of the second period, Ivanov is hit for fleeing and falls behind 5-4. Kholmirzaev followed it up with a four-point throw and then tossed Ivanov out of bounds to take a 10-4 lead. Kholmirzaev tallied one final takedown to win by technical fall, 12-4.

Ibragimov gets on the board first with a passivity call. Wax fended off a lift from Ibragimov and scored a reversal to tie the match with 2:31 left in the match. The 1-1 score held at the break. Wax grabbed the 2-1 lead from passivity with 1:13 left. From the top position, Wax was unable to add on to his lead as the match was returned to neutral. Wax held on strong over the final 30 seconds and moved into the gold medal match.

An opening scramble ended with Wax scoring a takedown, and he picked up a third point from passivity. In the top position, Wax took a 5-0 lead after turning Aliev with a high gut. During the sequence, Wax adjusted to turn Aliev once more before the match returned neutral. Trailing 7-0 at the start of the second period, Aliev scored two from a chest wrap. Wax notched his second takedown of the match then clinched the tech fall with a shoulder throw to win, 11-2.

Etu scored a quick two with a bodylock toss, but after going to the mat, Yevsieiev tied the match with two points of his own. After Etu went for a headlock, Yevsieiev countered to score two. Etu’s defense allowed him to score two points to tie the match. However, Yevsieiev pulled away and scored 10-straight points, and his final scoring sequence resulted in a pin 1:41 into the match.

Nuraliev scored big to start with a four after sending Arnett into danger. Nuraliev then secured a bodylock and finished a belly-to-belly throw for his second four-point move of the match to win by technical fall, 8-0.

Dannegger pressed the action at the start and scored a step out point, followed by a passivity point to take a 2-0 lead with 2:57 left. Tarelunga looked to go for a bodylock, but Dannegger countered with a takedown. Just before the break, Tarelunga got on the board with a step out. Tarelunga tallied another point after forcing Dannegger out of bounds at the start of the final period. Tarelunga secured a headlock from standing and scored four points with a hip toss to grab a 6-4 lead. He increased his advantage to three, forcing Dannegger out of bounds for the second time. Tarelunga sealed the match with a takedown in the final seconds to win, 9-4.

Etu came out of the gates firing and tossed Servetas over his side for four points and stuck the pin just 27 seconds into the match.

Hanamori got off to a fast start with three straight points in the first minute, but Mathews was able to block a second turn attempt from Hanamori and scored two points of his own to make a 3-2 contest. Hanamori secured a front headlock and sent Mathews to his back and out of bounds for two. Holding a 5-2 lead at the start of the second period, Hanamori went back to the headlock and picked another two points, but Mathews again countered from par terre with two points to pull within three. Hanamori put the match away with a go-behind takedown and won 9-4.

Deacu takes the early 1-0 lead one minute into the match on passivity. A flurry off a lift attempt from Deacu resulted in Arnett scoring two, sending Deacu into danger, but Deacu countered with a reversal to tie the match at two heading into the break. Arnett scored a passivity to break the tie. In this first chance in the top position, Arnett was unable to grab any points from exposure but did score a caution and one for fleeing. Arnett locked into the gutwrench on the restart and turned Deacu once before the match went back neutral to take a 6-2 lead. After a lost challenge from Romania at the end of the match, Arnett earned the 7-2 victory.

Gadaboeshev posted a two-point throw at the edge of the mat to send Ivanov out of bounds to grab the early lead. Gadaboeshev tallied another takedown to extend his lead to 4-0. Ivanov then got on the offensive with a four-point throw from a front headlock, and he was able to score three turns. The final turn resulted in Ivanov sticking the pin with 2:10 left in the match to move into the bronze medal match.

A passivity point for Brown gave him the early 1-0 lead 56 seconds into the match. Brown’s 1-0 lead held going into the break. At 1:27, Trip scored a passivity point to tie the match at one, but Brown held criteria. Trip broke the deadlock with a turn on the edge of the mat after Brown was fending off Trip’s lift attempts. Brown’s offensive attacks in the final 30 seconds came up short and dropped a 3-1 contest.

Petrosyan pushed Mathews out of bounds to score the first point of the match. Mathews was then hit with passivity one minute into the bout to push Petrosyan’s lead to two. After going neutral, Mathews tied the match with a go-behind, then scored a turn to take a 4-2 lead into the break. Mathews tallied back-to-back takedowns to extend his lead, but Petrosyan countered with one of his own to make an 8-4 contest with less than a minute. Mathews put the match away with a takedown and turn to lock in the 12-4 technical fall just as time expired.

Vardanyan gets on the board first with a passivity point. Wax stayed strong in par terre, fending off a couple of lift attempts from Vardanyan. The 1-0 score held at the break. Wax put four points on the board with a hip toss to grab a 4-1 lead with just over a minute left in the bout. Wax stayed strong in center over the final minute to clinch the 4-1 victory.

Ivanov scored first with a passivity and immediately scored a turn on after going in the top position to take a 3-0 lead. Ivanov sealed the match with a four-point move off a headlock followed by an exposure to win 9-0 with 2:16 left in the match.

Brown was hit with passivity at 2:53 and fell behind 1-0 early. Wadik Marubo scored two more off a gutwrench; however, on a second turn attempt, Brown countered with two and pinned Wadik Marubo just 1:29 into the contest.

Chkhikvadze scored first by passivity. Pandey countered from the bottom position with four points. However, after review, a defensive leg foul against Pandey brought the score to 3-0 in favor of Chkhikvadze. Pandey was hit with a second caution, and Chkhikvadze took a 5-0 lead. A step out pushed Chkhikvadze’s lead to six at the break. Pandey scored by passivity to make it a 6-1 contest. Pandey continued his comeback with two more points but fell short in a 6-3 loss.
